Imagine yourself on a tropical beach enjoying the sun. Can you imagine the stress relief you'd enjoy escaping the everyday grind? A Hawaii vacation will give you that relief.
Regardless of when you'll go to Hawaii, the temperature is mild. There is no need to be worried about winter's cold or summer's heat in Hawaii. Each day of the year, the temperature is warm enough to swim but not too hot to go outdoors. If you might be a surfing enthusiast, the very best waves normally appear through the winter season. Even on the warmest days of summer, the trade winds provide cool breezes.
Oahu is the most visited island in Hawaii. Even if it's only to change planes at the Honolulu airport, nearly all vacationers go to Oahu. On Oahu, you will find the modern city of Honolulu, which also is Hawaii's state capitol. You will also find renowned Waikiki beach. On the south shore of the island are Pearl Harbor and also the memorial that honors the USS Arizona which was sunk during the beginning of World War II.
In the event you travel north of Oahu, you will go to the island of Kauai, the most northerly and the oldest of the Hawaii Islands. This is an island of great beauty with the magnificent gold-colored sands of the Coconut Coast to the east and the Waimea Canyon on the west shore. Waimea Canyon is called the 'Grand Canyon of the Pacific', and the explanation why is going to be obvious when you visit it. Close by is the picturesque Kokee State Park that offers a number of hiking trails you're able to take to view rainforest plant life along with the rare birds making their home here.
To the south of Oahu is Molokai with a substantial population of local Hawaiian people. You will find numerous events in the island that are associated with the indigenous Polynesian culture and heritage.
If you are looking for a restful vacation in Hawaii, Lanai will be the ideal island for you. It has no stop lights and it is also the least densely inhabited of all islands. It is a good choice to experience a quiet romantic vacation, and it also has two golf courses just to keep your fitness levels trim.
The second biggest island in the Islands is Maui. Several of the finest beaches in the world are said to be found here. Maui offers extraordinary opportunities for viewing the humpback whales which traverse through these waters each winter.
Unsurprisingly, the largest island in the Hawaiian Islands is called the 'Big Island'. This island has more land area than the rest of the islands combined, and has 11 of the 13 climatic zones found on earth. It offers you features as diverse as sandy beaches, snowy mountain tops and an active volcano. The Big Island is truly an incredible and unique place to visit on your vacation to Hawaii.
If you are unable to make your mind up about which island you'd like to visit, then try all of them. It is possible to book a cruise in Hawaii that starts in Honolulu and then spends 1.5 days at each island. You can spend evenings on the luxury cruise liner, and experience the best the Hawaii archipelago offers.
For those who prefer spending some time on the islands, you'll find a large number hotel rooms to choose from. You might choose to book one of the historic hotels which were built before flights landed on the islands or at contemporary hotels. Should you favor a Hawaii vacation rental, then you will not have any problem looking for one within your price range.
